“Establishment-level Simulation of Supply Chain Disruption: The case of the Great East Japan Earthquake” was presented as a discussion paper at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI), an independent administrative agency under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Government.
In this paper, we present a Bayesian optimization approach to find parameters for a domestic supply chain simulator that can reproduce the Great East Japan Earthquake by integrating not only corporate headquarters but also business office data from the Economic Census, a government statistic.
RIETI – Establishment-level Simulation of Supply Chain Disruption: The case of the Great East Japan Earthquake
This paper is on supply chains, disaster, simulation, parameter calibration and parallel computing. In order to make public as quickly as possible the results of theoretical research and policy analysis, discussion papers will be posted on our web site. We hope that this will stimulate further discu…
