Hiroyasu Inoue was invited to give a seminar at World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C., on March 28. He presented his research on estimating the effects of negative shocks propagating through supply chains, with particular emphasis on a Nankai Trough earthquake and the search for effective countermeasures.
This was his second presentation at the World Bank and drew greater interest than his previous visit. After the seminar, he joined Yasuyuki Todo and his students for drinks, although the visit of less than 24 hours left him thoroughly exhausted.
